Getting Around Alexandria and Washington, DC

People watch an arriving train on the platform at the dimly lit L'Enfant Plaza metrorail station, which connects Washington, DC and Alexandria, VA.

In our opinion, the most important reason why location is so important for choosing a place to live is that long commutes make us unhappy. But high rent and the noise of cities can also make us unhappy. Platform Alexandria has the best of both worlds — great transportation access while being tucked away from the hustle and bustle of Washington, DC.
